Discussion on Voting Rights Act of 1965 to be held Feb. 29

On Feb. 29, the League of Women Voters of Winchester, in collaboration with Winchester High School and Harvard Case Method Institute for Education and Democracy, presents “MLK and the Struggle for Black Voting: A Case Study in Expanding Democracy,” an in-depth discussion on the landmark Voting Rights Act of 1965, bringing a deeper understanding of history and its relevance to the present to high school students and the community at large.

The event will take place in Room B19 at Winchester High School, 80 Skillings Road, beginning at 7 p.m.

Due to the use of copyrighted materials, this event will not be recorded.

The event is co-sponsored by the Harvard Club of Boston, Network for Social Justice, Winchester Historical Society and Winchester Public Library.
